Phoenix Rising of Winston Salem, Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All donations to Phoenix Rising are tax deductible. Phoenix Rising is managed and staffed by an all-volunteer Board, meaning donations do not pay salaries, but rather go directly toward each component of Phoenix Rising's 3-part mission of supporting drug treatment courts, facilitating treatment, and raising awareness.

Community donations resulted in the restart of Winston Salem's Drug Treatment Court after a 3-year absence; an awareness campaign whose videos were seen over 10,000 times on social media; and a podcast covering every aspect of addiction.
